GCSE Physics units and standard form

Convert metric prefixes, grams and squared or cubed units; write numbers in standard form.

Practise

Standard form

Write 0.0061 in standard form.

Standard form: a × 10ⁿ, with 1 ≤ a < 10.

Hint

Write a × 10^n with 1 ≤ a < 10. Moving the decimal point changes n.

Worked solution
  1. 0.0061 = 6.1 × 10-3.
